6 Principles of Naturopathic Medicine:

1. The Healing Power of Nature (Vis Medicatrix Naturae)
Trust in the body’s inherent wisdom to heal itself.

2. Identify and Treat the Causes (Tolle Causam)
Always investigate beyond symptoms to treat the cause.

3. First Do No Harm (Primum Non Nocere)
Use the least invasive, least toxic but effective natural remedies.

4. Doctor as Teacher (Docere)
Educate patients and encourage self-responsibility for health.

5. Treat the Whole Person
Treat each individual holistically: mind, body & spirit.

6. Prevention
Focus on optimal health & prevention of disease.

A few things I love:

Things I love:

  • My family, friends & my furry four-legged ‘child’ (where would I be without them?!),
  • The feeling of morning dew on my feet (try it!),
  • The taste of my garden harvest (worth the effort!),
  • The stillness of the mountains (especially when enjoyed from a summit or the Nordic Spa),
  • And brie with red pepper jelly.
